Last week, the science 30s completed the midterm exam and did quite well! In fact, the average on the midterm was 71% which is very impressive. I am so proud of the science 30s for working hard and focusing on what they have to do.
After the midterm, we began into the 3rd unit of Science 30, Unit C Physics, which I find an extremely disjointed unit. We begin with the science of thunderstorms and then head into forces and fields. After that we dive into electrical energy and voltages, which leads us into an electric motor project! This week we will be working hard for 3 days, learning a Topic 1-5, due to the fact that I will be away Thursday, Friday. This will allow students to learn what they need to know, and they will have time to "catch up" and start on their projects Thursday Friday.
