Last week the science 30s wrote a disappointing chemistry unit test. I am currently at a loss as to how to help the science 30s be successful. I try to make the course interesting with projects and labs, and they don't hand things in. I go back to the basics and make it really boring... they don't do anything. I am at the point where I will show up and try to make the class as engaging as possible, while still providing the required learning so that they are able to pass the diploma. Hopefully they will realize it is worth trying in science 30!
This week, we are starting the physics section of science 30. This begins with Gravitational, Electric and Magnetic Fields. After finishing up these topics, the science 30s will be given an in class assignment and then they will be allowed time to study for their midterm. Hopefully they have been preparing for this test ahead of time, as it is worth 15% of their overall class mark. This week in Science 30 Monday: Voltage and Magnetic Field Tuesday: Gravitational and Electric Field Strength Wednesday: In Class Assignment Thursday: Study Period Friday: MIDTERM EXAM Upcoming Due Dates in Science 30 Wednesday April 22: In Class Assignment Friday April 24: MIDTERM EXAM
