![]() I will have to admit that I have become quite frustrated with the 17 students in science 30! Not ONE student handed in the simple electromagnetic radiation project (EMR) project on time. The few projects I did receive were not done well. This project was supposed to be interactive and interesting... but simple... I just don't know how to motivate these kids! Not only do they not hand things in, a lot of days there are more than 5 students missing class. Science 30 is not simple enough to miss class and continue to be successful. The diploma at the end of the year is still a diploma exam so the students need to learn the material! Hopefully the students will be successful in the final unit of the semester, I will continue to attempt to engage the science 30s! They just have to show up! This week in science 30 Tuesday: Topic 1 Harvesting Chemical Energy Wednesday: In Class Assignment Thursday: Calorimetry Lab Friday: Topic 2 Harvesting Nuclear Energy Upcoming due dates Wednesday May 20: In Class Assignment Tuesday May 26: In Class Assignment Friday June 5: Moodle Quiz due Please remember to come check out the exhibition of learning Wednesday May 20 from 5-8pm at the school.
