![]() Last week the science 30s learned about the chemical energy released in a combustion reaction, and started to learn about nuclear reactions. Next week, we will compare the energy released between nuclear reactions and combustion reactions, and determine which are more efficient... hmmm... After this learning, the science 30s will be given time to work on their unit project, which is in place of their unit test for Unit D. This project consists of pre-learning research, and applying this research to a project that demonstrates social, scientific and technological aspects of their understanding. If the science 30s decide not to do this project, they will regret it, as it counts for 25% of their class grade. This project will contain daily check-points to ensure the kids are doing their work in class, and they will be given until June 9 to work on it. This week in Science 30: Monday: Nuclear Fission Tuesday: In Class Assignment Wednesday: Project Introduction Thursday: Project Work Friday: Project Work Upcoming due dates: Friday May 29: Unit D Quiz (moodle) Tuesday June 9: Unit D Project Due In Class Final Exam: MONDAY JUNE 15 @2pm Diploma Exam: FRIDAY JUNE 26
