![]() Science 30 will be wrapped up in a nice holiday bow after tomorrow's lesson! That's right, I will be done teaching the science 30 curriculum tomorrow! That doesn't mean its party time for the kids at all though! It means a lot of work, review and focus still must be done! I am really excited about this week, as we are having a debate in science 30; I have never done a debate in science, and I'm so intrigued as to how it will work out! This unit is also unique, as students will not be required to write a unit test for this unit. In fact, they are required to create a major project INSTEAD of a unit test for this unit. This is based on Rocky View School's Project Based Learning Initiative, which asks students to express their learning in ways other than pen and paper tests! I love it! This week in Science 30 Monday: Topic 4 Fossil Fuels Tuesday: Work / Study Period Wednesday: Quiz (Topic 1-4) Thursday: Debate Prep Friday: Energies Debate Upcoming Due Dates: Tues Dec 15: Calorimeter Lab due Wed Dec 16: Quiz 1 (topic 1-4) Fri Dec 18: Energy Debate Mon Jan 11: Alt Energies Project Due Tues Jan 12: Science 30 In Class Final
