![]() I don't think this split class has been going too poorly, but apparently a few of the students are not too happy about chem 30 right now... and we are down to 5 students in chem 30! This is really not that conducive to teaching a class focused on chemistry, when there are 20 science 30s in the same class. Monday, Ms. Ruzicka and Ms. Allen will be coming in to discuss the situation with the students, and the viability of this chem 30 science 30 split class. I am going to keep teaching it as I have been, by teaching chem first and following it with a science lesson! This week, the chem 30s will be performing their first inquiry lab on Monday, and have a quiz Wednesday. That means we are half done the Unit A Thermochem unit, and we will continue to finish it up during the rest of the week prior to break. The only homework the chem 30s should have during the teacher convention week off is their lab report, which is due the Tuesday when we get back! I feel this is plenty of time to complete it effectively and on time! This Week in Chem 30 Monday: Calorimeter Inquiry Lab Tuesday: Work Period Wednesday: Quiz 1 (Topic 1-4) Thursday: Topic 5 Calorimetry Friday: Topic 6 Everyday Calorimetry Upcoming Due Dates Wed Feb 10: Quiz 1 (Topic 1-4) Tues Feb 23: Calorimeter Lab due
