This is a big week for the chem 30s! Tomorrow morning, bright and early, they have their first Unit Test. This exam was supposed to be on Friday, but the post-secondary fair was Friday, during chem class, and obviously that is slightly important to grade 12s. So the exam is tomorrow. I know a lot of kids have been practicing and studying hard!
After the exam, we will dive right into Unit B: Electrochemistry! This unit is worth 30% of the diploma exam, so it is one of the 2 larger units. Many students find this unit difficult, as it is very theoretical: in fact there is only one calculation in this entire unit! On the bright side, electrochemistry is very applicable to life! Photosynthesis, combustion, rust, batteries... oh my! All electrochemistry!
