![]() This week marks big things in Chem 30: It's the first unit test of the year and... yes... Parent Teacher Interview Time! I will be emailing parents to ask them to come in for an interview if in fact your child is unfortunately failing my class. The reason a student is failing this early in the semester is purely based on work ethic and not on capability, and luckily, it is early enough to turn it around! So keep checking power school and make sure your son or daughter is handing in their work and keeping up in class! This week, as I mentioned, is the Chem 30s first major assessment: the Unit A Thermochemistry Test will be given on Tuesday September 29th. This means we are about 20% done the chem 30 curriculum (already!) After that, we will be moving on to Unit B: Electrochemistry, which is just "shocking" for students ;) Prior to the Thanksgiving break, the chem 30s will be given their first quiz for Unit B, this will ensure that they have no homework over the break, so you can enjoy the holiday family time together!
