Last week (Friday) the chem 20s got their first taste of titrations. It was very fun, and a very important concept in science! They also had a quiz in chem 20 and almost everyone passed with high marks! I am very happy and impressed by the 20s right now. Hopefully they can keep this going!
This week in chem 20, we will be diving into Limiting and Excess reagents and finishing up with %Yield of a reaction. This will be done using the physical observations of a precipitation, and is quite applicable to many fields of science. Finally, we will be finishing up the chem 20 year with the final lab titration, which will require 2 days of class to finish up. This week in chem 20: Monday: Limiting and Excess Reagents Tuesday: Precipitation Lab Analysis Wednesday: % Yield Thursday: Final Titration Lab Friday: Final Titration Lab Upcoming due dates: Wednesday May 27: Titration quick lab Friday May 29: Precipitation quick lab Wednesday June 3: Stoich Unit D test Friday June 5: Titration Final Lab due Final Exam FRIDAY JUNE 19, 2015
