Miss Mogck will be away Monday-Tuesday, attending a Inquiry Based Learning Professional Development Workshop. Students will be asked to work on their Scientists in Social Media project (which will be due Friday) and if they want to complete the rewrite of their science 10 open book review quiz, they are welcome to do so Tuesday. Basically, Monday-Tuesday will be work periods to catch up on work!
When Ms. Mogck returns Wednesday, we will be clearing up any questions or concerns on ionic bonding, and moving on to covalent (molecular) bonding. Thursday will mark the first lab in chem 20, which historically, students struggle with... this is ok! Lab reports will be returned full of comments and feedback, which will allow students to improve. (Remember, students are able to rewrite labs, however they will have to go through the necessary procedure; as per the science dept assessment policy). Friday we will be delving into VSEPR, or the geometry of molecules. This week will lead well into the final project for Unit A, which will be introduced next week.
Overall, sort of a boring week (sorry!) but important all the same! Reminder, it's picture day on Thursday! Look pretty!
