![]() Prior to the break, we completed the curriculum for chem 20. That's right, the kids have been taught everything they needed to be taught in chem 20! That doesn't mean the work is over! In fact, it means that they have a lab, a project and a lab final to complete prior to their final exam! Luckily, this week is mainly review and exam prep! You may notice that the chem 20s have a lab final. This is a physical exam in which the students will be asked to perform specific lab tasks important to chemistry. All of the lab procedures have been performed at least once (often more) in class. The reason for the lab final, is to be sure that students are not only successful in the knowledge, but also the skills and analytical thinking important to chemistry. This lab final will take place during FLT time prior to exam break, and will allow for the final exam to be significantly shortended (as many of the outcomes will already have been assessed). This week in Chem 20 Monday: Review of Summative 4 (question be question) Tuesday: Review of Unit A/B Wednesday: Review of Unit C Thursday: Review of Unit D Friday: Lab Review Upcoming Due Dates in Chem 20 Thurs Jan 12: Titration Lab due Mon Jan 16: Industrial Acid Base Project due Mon Jan 16-Thurs Jan 19: Lab Final Wed Jan 25: Chemistry 20 Final Exam
