The end of term is coming near!
And Christmas Break will soon be here!!
In hopes that kids will pass the test,
Coming to school I do suggest.
And not just showing up, oh no!
But putting in work, before you go!
So lets just sum up what was learned?
Kids do what they do to get the grade they've earned!
So... Happy Holidays are near... but we have a lot to learn before the end of the week! In chem 20 we will be finishing up the Stoichiometry unit and thus the end of the curriculum. This does not mean that kids should give up on chemistry, it simply means they should not have any homework (other than studying) over the break! When we come back, we will finish a lab, a unit test and then prep for the final exam!
This week in Chem 20
Monday: Work Period
Tuesday: Stoich Quiz
Wednesday: Limiting Reagents
Thursday: Percent Yield / Percent Purity
Friday: Work Period
Upcoming Dates to Know
Tuesday December 16: Stoich Quiz
Friday December 19: Quick Lab Due
This week in chemistry 20 we are starting stoichiometry! This is an important unit for chemistry 30, and the unit is worth 40% of chemistry 20. Stoichiometry focuses on mole:mole ratios and is very mathematical, which means it requires a lot of practice! The students have asked that their chem test be Wednesday rather than Tuesday, to accommodate a math quiz being written on Tuesday (they don't want to have 2 assessments on the same day!).
Just a reminder there is only 9 days left until Christmas Break, and 16 days left in the semester! So Study HARD!
This Week in Chem 20
