![]() This week chem 20s will be getting into the acid base portion of chemistry 20. This is a very important half of the unit in chem 20, as it leads into the very difficult unit of Acid Base Equilibrium in chemistry 30. If students struggle with this section of 20, chemistry 30 may not be the best option next year... That being said, this part of unit C is very interesting, and lends itself to many different labs! Yay! Please remember the Chestermere High School Showcase of Learning will be occurring Wednesday, November 26 from 5pm-8pm. This semester, the science department will be displaying many projects from different areas of learning, including Chem 20 Molecule Projects and Ideal Gas Labs, Chem 30 Equilibrium and Redox Projects, Bio 30 Gene to Protein Projects, Science 24 Mouse-Trap Cars and Physics 20 Force Labs. These displays will demonstrate the outstanding Project Based Learning going on in the Science Department. We will also have Chem 30s on hand to teach visitors how to perform a titration lab, which is a common technique in any chemistry class! Please stop by Room 1028 (Ms. Mogck's Classroom) during your visit to learn some exciting new science techniques!
